Interstate 35 swept a double header from Woodward-Granger, winning by a combined core of 22-1 in both games.

In the first game, the Roadrunners compiled an eight-run fourth inning for the 12-0 shut out.

Sophomore Summer Pasutti and eighth-grader Josie McCuddin had home runs. Ava Knoll had the win on the mound, fanning six W-G batters.

In the second game, pitcher Katie Murphy and Maeci Andrew combined for nine strikeouts in the 10-1 win. 

Both Kate Stanley and Carli McCuddin each had three RBIs as the Roadrunners left to a 6-1 lead after a five-run second inning.

Saturday tournament

I-35 had a two-run second inning to defeat Grand View Christian, 3-1, on Saturday.

I-35 also pounded Twin Cedars of Bussey Saturday as Twin Cedars pitchers allowed seven hits and five runs in 100 pitches.
