Earlham held visiting Council Bluffs St. Albert to less than 150 yards of total offense – just over 100 yards passing and less than 40 yards on the ground – as the Cardinals punished St. Albert, 38-8, in the first district football game of the season for both teams. St. Albert now is 1-4 in five starts. Earlham had 433 yards rushing and 38-yards passing.

Earlham senior QB Alex Caskey had three QB keepers for TDs, while senior Caleb Swalla had a one-yard TD run and junior Trey Bond had an eight-yard scoring scamper. Cameron Terry also kicked a field goal for the Cards, who improved to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in Class A District 9 play.

Earlham, AHST of Avoca and SW Valley of Corning all are 1-0 in district play. St. Albert is at Corning Friday, Earlham is at Avoca and Nodaway Valley travels to winless Riverside of Oakland.
