The Earlham softball team went 3-0 last week and has two final regular season games this week.

Janssen went the distance against Grand View Christian, giving up only three hits in the 6-0 shutout. G. Voss, Jensen, Bean and Conry each had two hits. 

Against West Central Valley, the Cardinals combined for thirteen hits to win 12-0. Janssen got the decision in the run rule victory.

The bats were hot into the second game against WCV. Katlynn Voss went 3-4 with three RBI in the 11-1 win. Janssen earned the decision again, going the full seven innings. 

Earlham softball

Sophomore Madeline Janssen pitched both of Earlham’s victories over West Central Valley on Thursday. During the first game, she allowed two hits and no runs, earning five strikeouts. During the second game, Janssen allowed four hits and one run, earning seven strikeouts. 

The Cardinals will play Council Bluffs Lincoln and Southeast Valley in Grimes on Friday to round out the regular season. The first post season game will fall on Wednesday, July 10 in Earlham vs. Martensdale - St. Marys.
