The Earlham boys went 2-2 this past week, sweeping a doubleheader from Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center, 18-0 and 11-0, but falling to DM Christian and Van Meter.
In the first game against AC-GC, the game lasted all of three inning. Earlham had a ten-run second inning and followed with a five-run third inning.
Trent Williamson, Alex Caskey, John Humphrey, Grant Carter, Chris Hipsley and Caleb Swalla each had sol RBIs while Christ Hipsley struck out seven AC-GC batters, walking six.
In the second game, Earlham won in five innings, following a seven-run second inning.
Trent Williamson and Grant Petersen each had two RBIs while Williamson had two stolen bases and Caleb Swalla had one. Williamson had ten strikeouts for the Cards.
DM Christian beat Earlham Friday in four innings, pounding in all 17 runs in the second, third and fourth innings, shutting out the Cards, 17-0.
Earlham was also shut out by the Bulldogs at Van Meter Monday, 4-0. All four Van Meter runs came in the fourth inning.
Alex Caskey and Colin Forcht had the only hits for Earlham, against freshman hurlers Ganon Archer and Jack Pettit, who had 12 Ks between them.
