With the holidays just around the corner, CRISP (Community Resources in Service to People, Inc.) is kicking off their Christmas 4 Kids program in Madison County.

They are now preparing to match families in need with organizations, individuals, or other families who would like to donate gifts this holiday season. If interested in sponsoring a child through the holiday gift program, contact the CRISP office by Oct. 30 with your contact information or that of an organization and let them know how many children you would like to sponsor.

CRISP will begin matching children and sponsors through the month of October and sponsors will then be contacted by Nov. 12. Sponsored children will be identified by numbers and not names to help protect their privacy.

Participants may deliver unwrapped gifts with client numbers attached, to the office beginning Nov. 16 through Dec. 3. During regular office hours 9 a.m.-12 p.m., Monday-Thursday. On Dec. 2 and 3, evening drop-off will be available from 5-7 p.m. or by special appointment. Organizers ask that participants call to schedule a drop off time so that they can limit the number of people in the office at one time.

The CRISP office is located in the basement of the Presbyterian Church (210 W. Green St., Winterset). Those dropping off gifts need to enter the church through the doors facing Green Street and the basement stairs will be on the right hand side.
