Winterset Lions president Tad Tadlock presented 2019 WHS graduate Casey Kleemeier with a $1,000 scholarship to be used for college expenses.

Kleemeier is a student at Northwestern college in Orange City, Iowa which is located in the Northwest corner of the state.

During high school, he earned over a year’s worth of college credits allowing him to be ahead of the game, as he focuses on Accounting and Business courses at college.

Winterset Lions voted to donate $500 to the Winterset High School’s Thirst Project. The WHS group is raising funds for clean water in Africa.

Macy Larson and Mikaela Hunter are an integral part of the Thirst Project. Hunter stated they are part of an amazing group where everyone is dedicated and working hard to achieve their goal of $12,000.

Still accepting donations from groups and individuals, the group is over half-way to their goal.
