There are now 23 Madison County area businesses which have received economic stimulus grants from The Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) small business relief program.

Seven businesses received funds in the initial round of grants, in which 1,270 Iowa businesses shared $23.97 million in funding, including Hitchin Post LLC $25,000; Northside Cafe, $25,000; Rudy’s Restaurant $15,000; Beercoe LLC $8,000; Kawa Farms $10,000; Salon 107 $10,000; Silo LLC $18,000.

In the subsequent second round of grant awards made  through April 28, another 1,418 Iowa businesses shared more than $27.2 million in grants. Those businesses and the amount received, according to the IEDA website, included Mark it Professionals LLC, $10,000; Protex Food Safety $15,000; Quality Car Care $15,000; Set in Stone, Inc. (dba Harvest Reclaimed) $15,000; West Side Mechanicals LLC $10,000; Angel Wings and Country Things $9,800; Earlham Fitness $5,000; Jones Creek Apparel $25,000; Main Street Garage $25,000; Winterset Foursquare - The Cellar $5,000; and, Winterset Aviation Services, Inc. $25,000.

An additional five Madison County area businesses are among those that  have qualified for awards in the third round of funding, which is still ongoing. Those businesses include James D Elliott DDS PLLC (dba Winterset Dental/Greenfield Family Dentistry) $25,000; Madison County Winery $15,000; Thornburg Inc. $12,000; Village Bootery $17,285; and, Pizza Ranch of Winterset LLC $25,000.
