Annual Adopt-A-Family effort provides 50+ Thanksgiving meals for community

The Winterset Adopt-A-Family program had another great year, serving 51 families that were “adopted” by individuals, churches and other organizations. Thanks to the Madison County community, those in need will be able to sit down to a Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings. Matura Madison Outreach volunteer coordinator Beth Forst was responsible for organizing the contributions for family pick-up at the Winterset American Legion Hall. Forst had a few of extra hands as she prepared the packages of donated goods. Pictured from left are Beth Forst with daughters Ashley and Kaitlyn.
