On Sunday, Dec. 29, the Lorimor Methodist Church service was standing room only!  The Arispe, Afton, Jerusalem and Lorimor United Methodist Churches met in Lorimor for a fifth Sunday service.  The Sunday Schools combined to present “How the Grinch Tried to Steal Christmas”. There were 25 children who participated. Pennie Cheers played Grandma Who and accompanied the Who children on the piano. Avery and Sidney Staver from Arispe played a violin/piano duet of “Away in a Manger”. Mattie, Owen and Ronnie Riemenschneider, also from Arispe, led parts of the service. The teachers – Linda, Shelly, Kim, and Judy – all dressed in character! Cookies and Kool Aid were served during fellowship following the service. It was a wonderful service.

During the holidays, visitors at the Della Hunter residence were Heather, Alex, Jack and Patton Vaske of Ankeny and Winston, Megan, Maeve and Westley Hunter of Kansas City, Kan.
