Due to Covid-19 concerns, the Madison County Women’s Giving Circle had been looking for an alternative to their usual indoor quarterly meeting, where local non-profits present a request for funding for their latest project (or need), for women and children in Madison County.

The Giving Circle will hold the third quarter no-more-than-an-hour meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the North Shelter in the Winterset City Park, starting at 5 p.m. Any local non-profits who would like to present at this meeting will need to sign in by 4:45 p.m. If the weather is questionable, potential presenters should contact Ester Mae Cox at 515-468-1281 by 3 p.m. on the 22nd to find out if the meeting is still on.

Members need to wear a face covering and bring a lawn chair, their own beverage, checkbook, and a pen and paper for voting. If you are unable to attend, Ester Mae Cox will be sending out a follow-up notification and will collect your checks for the selected charity.

If you are not a member of the Madison County Women’s Giving Circle and might be interested in becoming a member, you are welcome to attend the meeting.
